14TH STEERING COMMITTEE OF IAPPS REGION X (NEARC)
The 14th Steering Committee of IAPPS Region X (NEARC) was held on May 24, 2024, at the Tokyo University of Agriculture, Kyodo Campus, Tokyo, Japan.
Agenda
- Report of the financial results for FY2023 and approval of the budget for FY2024.
- Confirming about plenary lectures and sessions in the IPPC2024 conference in Greece.
- We will organize a session entitled ‘10A and B Impact and control of transboundary/invasive pests’ on July 2nd including 12 worldwide speakers.
- We also offer a plenary lecture entitled’ Impact and control of transboundary/invasive banana wilt pathogen, Fusarium oxysporum sp. cubense’ by Dr. Arie on July 2nd. In addition, we will provide the travel assistance (¥200,000 for each of the four speakers) to IPPC2024.

The IAPPS Newsletter is published by the International Association for the Plant Protection Sciences and distributed in Crop Protection to members and other subscribers. Crop Protection, published by Elsevier, is the Official Journal of IAPPS.
IAPPS Mission: to provide a global forum for the purpose of identifying, evaluating, integrating, and promoting plant protection concepts, technologies, and policies that are economically, environmentally, and socially acceptable. It seeks to provide a global umbrella for the plant protection sciences to facilitate and promote the application of the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) approach to the world’s crop and forest ecosystems.
